High school students are invited to join a newly-formed Parliamentary Debate Club for homeschoolers. The club will be led by a paid instructor and will focus on three areas: (1) critical thinking skills, including formulating and supporting arguments; (2) speech presentation and rhetorical skills; and (3) current events. Emphasis will be placed upon students developing these skills through weekly instruction and practice, as well as participation in a limited number of regional debate events.
