Instead of our annual five15 Christmas party, we're devoting December 18 to serving. We are such rich people that to devote a Saturday one week before Christmas to serving others seems like a wonderful way to live "not for ourselves but for him."
There are six service projects to choose from -- ranging from construction work, to visiting a nursing home, to assisting with a local toy drive. If you did not sign up for a project at our last five15 meeting, you will have an opportunity to do so in the church lobby on Sunday, December 5th. We'll end our day of service with Christmas cookies and a time of fellowship, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, in the basement auditorium. If you have questions, email Mrs. Rossell.
If you're interested, here are the projects we'll be working on:
-
Repainting in some CM classrooms (props to AnaMichele Babyak for this idea!)
-
Visit a retirement home
-
Angel Tree organization at Salvation Army
-
Blanket making (not quilts - my bad) for Sanctity of Life Ministries (thanks to Megan Marriott for this idea)
-
Make Christmas cookies for after-serving event
-
