  • First Thursday of Co-op

    I hope your first day/week of Co-op was great. Thanks to everyone for a great start. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.


  • Need help with 9:00 Childcare (and maybe 10:10)

    Our 9:00 hour has been a little challenging to staff (due to a number of reasons.) It is our busiest Childcare hour, we have only 3 people serving in Childcare (it's better to have 4), we have our smallest sub list that hour, AND we have NO Childcare sub for 9:00. If you are free that hour (9:00 Thursdays) and would be willing to either 1. Serve in Childcare all year or 2. Serve specifically as a Childcare Sub that hour, could you please let me know?

    We also have no Childcare sub for the 10:10 hour. This hour is much smaller, but it would be very helpful to have a designated Childcare sub. Again - if you are able - please let me know.

  • Lists sent out and more needs

    I just sent an e-mail to everyone with an email/phone list, sub list and study hall list. If you did not get it - please let me know.

    Also - we still have a couple of needs.

    1. On THURSDAYS - We need someone to wipe out the microwaves after lunch.

    2. On TUESDAYS - We need someone to wipe down the microwaves AND wipe down the lunch tables after lunch.

    Please let me know if you can do this.



  • First Thursday of Co-op

    HI all,

    We will have a brief Assembly Time in the basement auditorium on the first Thursday of Co-op (9/13) at 9:00.  If you are not normally at the building at this time, you do not need to come in for this. If you are, please plan to assembly in the basement aud. for a brief 5-10 minutes gathering. 9:00 Teachers and Helpers (including Childcare Helpers), please plan to join us as well. And thank you for your flexibility with this. Parents, please take your children to childcare AFTER this Assembly. BTW - parents utilizing childcare - childcare will one again be on the main level in the 1's Nursery.


  • Kitchen Training

    Remember, if you are going to be using the kitchen in your class AT ALL, you need to be kitchen trained. Also, if you are helping with making or cleaning up coffee, you need to get trained. Carol Sawyer has been doing these trainings. This is her last week of doing these trainings, so if you can schedule with her this week, that would be great. I could not find out who is replacing Carol, so there may not be anybody yet. So - this week would definitely be best.


  • Coffee Maker(s) on Thursdays

    I don't think I've found a good fit for Thursday coffee maker. It's best for someone who can easily get to the building before 9:00 - even close to 8:30. If you can do this, please let me know.

    Also, if you were assigned a position for "Study Hall/Hall Monitor" and you had a strong preference between the two, could you send or resend me your preference? It's been a CRAZY summer for me, and it would help me if you resent those thoughts to me.



  • In need of early arrivers at Co-op (and coffee makers)

    I need a person who can arrive a bit early on Tuesdays and one who can arrive a bit early on Thursdays during the Co-op year. (and some "coffee people" needs as well). If you can commit to one or more of these positions, please let me know.

    1. Tuesday morning "opener." - Will get a key from upstairs and will unlock all the classrooms and the side door. Need to arrive about 8:20.

    2. Thursday morning "opener" - same as above, but need to arrive about 8:30.

    And we need coffee people. I've asked a number of people to consider it.

    1. Make coffee (and set-up coffee table) Thursday morning.

    2. Maintain coffee during the day and communicate coffee/cups/stirrers needs to the office.

    3. Clean-up coffee during the 1:00 hour.

    4. Buy creamer, sugar, fake sugar and tea through the year (and get reimbursed.)

    5. And then we need a coffee maker and a coffee clean-up person on Tuesdays. (This is harder to staff on Tuesdays, so if you are there on Tuesdays and want/expect coffee - we need people to commit to this.)

    You do have to be "kitchen certified" to a coffee level in order to make or clean-up coffee.



  • Co-op Orientation - Sunday, September 16

    Our Co-op Orientation will be held on Sunday evening, September 16 from 7:30-9:00 pm. Please plan to attend. It's our only time to review old policies, discuss new ones and talk face to face about needs for the year.

    One need I know we have is that we are going to need a new food person for the Year End Event. Please be thinking about this. If you would be willing to either take this on or work on a food team, please let me know.

  • British Lit

    We are considering (NOT DEFINITE) switching Penny Lamon's British Lit class to 1:00 on Thursdays.

    If you currently have a student in the class, could you bounce me back (again) and tell me if this would work for them/you?

    If you do NOT currently have a student in the class but would like to put someone in IF it is held at this hour (1:00 on Thursdays), could you bounce me back and tell me that?



  • British Lit

    Penny Lamons is currently offering a Co-op British Lit. class in the fall on Tuesdays at 1:00 for grades 10-12 (younger considered upon parent request.)

    Currently, the class does not have enough students in it to provide an effective group discussion format (which is the strength of the class.)

    Would any of you be interested in the class if it were offered at a different time, and, if so, what time(s)? Penny prefers Tuesdays. The course description for the class is available on the blog.



  • Tutor

    Sharon Becker is willing and available to tutor math and science (all but physics) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-2:00 (or 2:30). We are not entirely certain as to how to work the details (just drop in? schedule ahead of time? sign-up for the whole year?), but please let us know if you might be interested in that and what subject your student might need tutoring in.


  • Your Co-op Schedule

    HI all,

    We have begun working on helper slots.

    1. If you plan on dropping or requesting a change for any of your kids' classes, PLEASE let me know right away as it is very difficult to change things once we assign helper positions.

    2. As a teacher, if you have any specific requests for helpers, please let me know.

    3. There are A LOT of helper slots to be filled, so please expect to serve most (and sometimes all) hours when your kids are in classes. And please remember that if your student is in a Tuesday class or a 1:00 or 3:30 Thursday class, you may need to serve those hours. (And everyone involved with Drama will serve in some capacity, and that will be figured out separately from the regular helper positions.)


  • Possible Soccer Club

    There is very possibly going to be a "soccer club" for grades 5-12 on Thursday afternoons (probably beginning in November - AFTER the boys' soccer season) from 2:35-3:30. Jonathan Strylowski is leading this, and his mom is involved with him. They/she would love another adult (or more than one) to be involved. There will be no charge for this. More details to follow.

  • Looks like we have teachers!

    While exactly who is doing what is not 100% certain, it looks like both the art teacher and the sign language teacher positions have been filled. Thank you to all who offered and to all who prayed. The response was really amazing. When the people who are considering it have decided for certain (and there are back-ups if those people decide "no"), then I will contact the families and let them know.

  • In need of some teachers

    We've lost a teacher for the fall, so we are in pretty serious need of:

    1. an Art 1-2 teacher (1st and 2nd graders)

    2. a Basic Sign Language teacher (1st and 2nd graders)

    3. and possibly a Childcare/Kindergarten co-teacher.

    Our Art 3-4 teacher (Tawnia Wheeler) is willing to switch and teach the 1st and 2nd graders if someone would rather teach 3rd/4th graders. She is also willing to prepare or help prepare lesson plans for someone else to use.

    Our resident Sign Language Teacher (Pat Bonnet) is willing to help with lesson plans for the Basic Sign Language class.

    If you are willing to consider one of these positions, please let me know.

  • Co-op Checks

    Hi all,

    I'm not sure I will have time to send out confirmation e-mails this week re. Co-op registration. Most of you got into the classes you requested. Most of you have been contacted if there was a problem. We are working on Biology and History 1-2 and we've had some Physical Science changes. (Maybe others that I'm not remembering right now?)

    I am going to hand out checks to teachers THIS THURSDAY (May 17). TEACHERS - PLEASE FIND ME AND GET YOUR CHECKS.

    I plan to send out confirmation e-mails over the next couple of weeks.



  • Science 3-4, 5-6 and Life Science update

    Please see updated Course Descriptions (and fees) for Science 3-4, Science 5-6 and Life Science. There are two editions available for the science book that Science 3-4 and Science 5-6 are using. You can get either one. (Also the authors were incorrect but are correct now. For Life Science, the fee is $60 to the teachers and $10 to the church (for copies).

  • Co-op Registration - Schedule Conflict???

    As I posted before, Co-op registrations are April 22 and 29 before and after church. As you may have seen, there is now a Parents' Seminar on April 22 at noon (and a Jr. High Orientation on 4/29). I just wanted to give you a heads up on the possible schedule juggling this may present for you if you plan to go to the seminar. If at all possible, we are asking that the serving Mom come to the registration table. There are often questions that need to be answered (and this year a checklist that needs to be reviewed and initialed at the registration table) that often need to be answered by "Mom". (And please remember that we are unable to take incomplete paperwork. We cannot "save your spot" or "save your registration number" if the paperwork is not complete.)

    We will be at the table before church (starting at 9:00), but we do not take registrations during the meeting.

  • Economics Class - 1:00 on Thursdays

    The Economics class has found a home at 1:00 on Thursdays. The class will be for students in grades 10-12. Thanks so much for those who gave input on the time. And thanks so much to Chris Jones for coming back to Co-op to teach and for fitting this into his busy school schedule.

  • Co-op 2012-2013 Schedule Update

    An updated schedule has been posted under Co-op Documents.

    Looks like Econ will be either 1:00 on Thursdays or 11:05 on Tuesdays. If I have not heard from you, let me know.

    I also believe that Con. Law will be for students 16 and older.

    Tentative Room Assignments have also been posted under Co-op Documents. Feel free to send me your thoughts.

    Christmas vacation dates have been narrowed down to 2 options. At the moment,  it's looking like "Option 2" - but, if you have a thought and I've not heard from you, let me know.

    Option 1: meet Thurs. 12/20 and take off the next two weeks and resume Tues. 1/8 and Thurs. 1/10.

    Option 2: meet Thursday 12/13 and Tuesday 12/18 and take off 12/20-1/2 and resume on Thursday 1/3.

    If you are interested in the SAT-prep workshop and I've not heard from you, let me know.

  • Asking again about the Economics class

    I know I just posted this, but really need to hear from you. Even if you don't have any idea when you might be available, but you think you're interested, please let me know. Chris and I need to figure out if there is enough interest to pursue this, and I need to know who I need to talk to re. schedule - so let me know right away if you would consider this class if the schedule worked out.   • Checks at Registration

    If your class is taught by more than one teacher, I need to know who you want the checks made out to.

    So...please send your course description with your class fee, let me know how many copies per student per week and who is receiving the class fees (and don't forget to include any class contracts - which can be on a second page.)

  • Science 3-4 and 5-6 slight change for next year

    There's been a slight change on the topics for next year's Science 3-4 and 5-6.

    Both classes will be studying only chemistry (instead of chemistry and physics). The following year (2013-2014) they will spend the year on physics. This allows us to incorporate zoology into the "life science" (biology/botany/zoology) year in our 4-year rotation of topics instead of having a separate year of zoology.

    Next year's teachers made this decision based on their experience in teaching these subjects and using the books that we have. (We also consulted another 4-year cycle curriculum and this is the way they do it as well.) If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know or feel free to talk to Gina Lannon or Dawn Okada.


  • Question regarding Christmas Break dates for next year

     Here is a calendar for December 2012.

    Fairfax County Public Schools' Christmas Break is 12/24-1/1. What should our Christmas break be next year?

    Should Co-op meet Thurs. 12/20 and then take off the next two weeks and not come back until Tues. 1/8 and Thurs. 1/10?


    Should Co-op meet Thursday 12/13 and Tuesday 12/18 and then take off 12/20-1/2 and resume on Thursday 1/3?


    Should Co-op meet Thursday 12/20 and then take two Tuesdays off (12/25 and 1/1) but only one Thursday off (12/27) and come back and meet on Thursday 1/3?

    All three scenarios have their issues (in my opinion).

    The first scenario is kind of weird because we don't come back to Co-op until the 8th (Tues.) and the 10th (Thurs.) of January and that seems really late. The second scenario is kind of weird because we end up doing these "half-weeks" at Co-op (meet Tues. and not Thursday and then meet Thursday and not Tuesday) and we kind of lose a weekend in the break. The third scenario is kind of weird because it's a shorter break.

    So...there you go! Would love to know your thoughts. Thanks!

  • Course Descriptions Needed

    Due by the end of February (to me electronically)

    Course Description on one page.
    (If you have a “contract” – that can be an additional page.)
    Use Arial 10 pt. font for the entire document
    First 6 lines are centered, bolded, and double-spaced between lines. Those 6 lines are:

    Class Name (underlined)
    Day of Week and Time of Class (i.e. Thursdays 11:20 – 12:20)
    Grade Level: (i.e. Grade Level: 7 – 8)
    Teacher(s) Name(s)
    Student Fee:
    Class Size: (minimums and maximums if applicable)*

    Then double space and begin the body of your course description. Please double space between paragraphs, but single space your paragraphs. You may bold individual headers of paragraphs, but not the whole document. I'm flexible on your margins as some will need smaller margins to fit it all on one page.

    Please either include some wording at the bottom about helpers or leave room for approx. 4 lines about helpers for me to add. Tuesday classes and Thursday afternoon classes need more room at the bottom for a "helper blurb" as moms with kids in these classes need to know that they may need to serve in those classes (possibly on a rotating basis if we don’t have enough people available to serve full-time).

    Please remember that - NEW FOR NEXT YEAR - if you are going to have any sort of "contract" that the parents or the students have to sign or if there are going to be extra classes (like mid-terms) or uniforms needed or extra rehearsals (choir/drama) - that information MUST BE PART OF OR TURNED IN WITH YOUR COURSE DESCRIPTION.

    Classes that are conducting experiments or craft projects, please charge enough to cover your expenses! Even if a class has been traditionally $20 - you may charge more if you need to. In fact, I would encourage you to do so, as I hear often that teachers are running out of money!

    *For class size - some of that will be limited by room size. Most of you that are traditionally in the smaller classrooms know that you will probably be there again. 12 fit nicely in those classes. We've squeezed 15-16 in a major pinch. Room assignments are not set in stone at the moment, but I've got a pretty good idea where people might end up, so if you need to know, let me know.

    Let me know if you want me to send you any samples. (At the moment, there are samples on the blog. Those will disappear soon though to make room for the new ones.)

  • Who needs Pre-Calculus next year?

    I need to make sure that there are students needing Pre-Calculus next year. If your student plans on taking it with David Wheeler next year, could you bounce me back and let me know?


  • Update on Survival Skills

    Marlene would like a Co-Teacher for Survival Skills. Let one of us know if you are open to this.

    A number of you have asked for more details on the class and how the wide age group is going to work. This is from Marlene:

    In the Survival Skills class, students will (at home) read procedures (from the "Extreme Survival" book or from hand-outs) for a skill to be practiced during the next Co op day class.
    In classroom, the students will receive a short review of the skill procedures and then practice them.
    (from time to time, we will also hear/receive extra instruction from Guest Speakers who are subject matter practitioners/experts)

    Students will be grouped in this manner:
    3-6th grade students will sit on one side of the classroom and perform skills as a group.
    7-12th graders will sit on the other side of the classroom and will work in
    1. one group of 7-9th graders and
    2. one group of 10-12th graders,
    3. or a collective group of 7-12th graders if the number of helpers dictates the need

    I (Susan) am confident that Marlene will handle the age span with wisdom and practicality. She will have two rooms at her disposal if necessary. Please don't hesitate to sign-up for this class because of that. I'm sure it's going to be a wonderful class (and a blast)!

  • Co-op 2012-2013 schedule questions (changes?)

    1. THURSDAY - Right now Sara Jane's American History is offered at 11:20 and 1:00. The 11:20 must stay (for her own needs). The 1:00 could move to 9:00 or 10:10. Who needs this class, and what time(s) can you take it? Would a move work?

    2. TUESDAY - Sharon's Physical Science on Tuesdays is at 11:05. Who needs this class, and would a move to 1:00 on Tuesdays work? (The 1:00 Thursday slot stays the same.)


  • Co-op 2012-2013 - need response

    Hi everyone. We had a GREAT meeting last night. Thanks to all of you who came.

    There is an updated Co-op 2012-2013 schedule under Co-op Documents. (There is also a current 2011-2012 schedule, so make sure you click on the correct one.) As I update, I change the "draft number" (top left corner) and "date updated" (bottom left corner) so check back often for updated versions of the schedule. I will always have updated versions at Co-op. If you can't find Co-op Documents (here on the blog), just e-mail me, and I will e-mail you a copy of the schedule as an attachment.

    Please look at the schedule, and let me know a few things. Not much can move at this point (maybe nothing), but let me know your conflicts. Also, let me know if you want Penny to teach American or British Lit. and if your student will take the class even if your preference is not what ends up being offered. Also, where shall we put Spanish 3?

    A number of classes found their permanent home last night.

    ASL 2/4 moved to 10:10. Advanced Photography moved to 10:10. (You can ONLY take Advanced Photography if you are taking her current class this year.) Creative Writing moved to 11:20. Marcie's art (if she is able to offer it) settled at 10:10 and will stay there as long as we don't mess with biology (which is now on Tuesday only). Speaking of biology - we need a co-teacher to work with Lesley. The class is going to be big, so let me know if you can help with this.

    I think the times for French 1 and French 3 are settled on Tuesday. This is a conflict for a few, and I'm so sorry. I believe French 1 will stay at 11:05 and French 3 will stay at 1:00. Feel free to let me know your preference on that, but there are teacher (schedule) conflicts that make this schedule look like the one we need to stick with. (On Thursday, French 3 is at 10:10, French 1 is at 11:20 and Intro. to French is at 1:00.) (no change there)

    Oh - and Sara Jane is (I think this is definite) going to offer her American History on BOTH the 11:20 AND the 1:00 hours to serve people's schedule conflicts. Wow, thanks so much, Sara Jane. (If that changes, I will let you know.) (She will have to limit the number of total students, so she does not end up with too many/too much.)

    Still looking to solidify a couple of co-teaching positions for ESPECIALLY SCIENCE 3-4, Science 1-2 and History 1-2.

    Elisabeth McCoy is willing to offer her geography again for Grades 7-8 at 11:20. (which really helps us with a needed junior high class that hour.) (and now there is Sara Jane's history class that can take 8th graders that hour as well.) Since Elisabeth does not know if they will be here or not (after Andy gets back), Gina Remer is willing to teach with her and take over the class if Elisabeth has to move (and we hope she STAYS)! If someone else can do this instead of Gina, then Gina would be willing to offer her Current Events class. So, let me know if you want to "co-teach" with Elisabeth and be able/willing to take over that geography class.

    I think that is it for now. I'm sure you will be hearing from me (and the schedule) quite a bit over the next few weeks. Teachers, remember I need course descriptions by the end of February. And they need to include any "contracts" you want your students or parents to sign.

  • Calling all parents of rising 1st-4th (& 7th) graders!!

    Still looking for teachers for Science 1-2 and Science 3-4 for next year. (One person is considering Science 1-2 but she is not certain yet and she needs a co-teacher.) I don't think I've heard from anyone re. Science 3-4 (yet). If you are at all considering it - please let me know. There might be someone at Sunday's meeting who would be willing to co-teach with you - and it will be a match made in heaven!! (smile)

    There is someone considering History 3-4 and someone considering co-teaching with her - but if you'd be willing to co-teach that - please let me know.

    Also - we now have a tentative Current Events/Geography at 11:20 for Grades 7-8. Would anyone want to offer a 7th grade art class?

  • Co-op 2012-2013

    The first working draft of the Co-op 2012-2013 schedule was at Co-op today. I will try to bring an updated one every Thursday. I am not going to post one here on the blog until later since it changes so often.

    Big Co-op meeting on next year's Co-op on SUNDAY, JANUARY 8, 7:00 PM. This meeting is VERY HELPFUL to solidify things and find teachers. I would so appreciate if you would put this date on your calendar and plan to attend. (We typically have a GREAT turn-out for this meeting, and I personally find it TONS of fun. Thanks so much!!)

    Even though it's early and many changes will happen, feel free to send me your thoughts on the schedule. I know each of you understands that there will always be conflicts in the schedule, so thanks for your understanding. You do have my promise to work very hard to have the final schedule represent as few conflicts as possible.

    A few updates from today's handout:

    Luke Middleton is going to teach a class for grades 9-12 at 9:00 on Thursdays. There will not be a pastor's class for grades 7-8.

    There will be a history class offered for grades 7-8 at 9:00 (using Mystery of History Volume 3 - The Renaissance, Reformation, and Growth of Nations).

    If someone would like to offer another junior high class at 9:00, let me know. (Geography?)

    The Intro to French class should have stated that it is for grades 6-9. So sorry for the mistake on that. ("My bad.")

    David Wheeler was not on the schedule. I believe that was an oversight. I have added him at 8:30 on Tuesdays for Pre-Calculus. I have an e-mail into him to confirm that.

    There is a VERY SLIGHT chance of some 9:00 math classes on Thursday. This is very tentative - but I am working on that.

    We are trying to find a Spanish 1 teacher. If there are other specific classes you would like me to try to find a teacher for, let me know. I plan to put something in the bulletin soon. (Would probably put Spanish 1 at 11:20 on Thursdays and maybe 1:00 on Tuesdays. This would mirror the French 1 classes.) (I've switched the times for French 1 and 3 on Tuesdays for now due to a request.)

    We currently have NO TEACHER(S) for History 3-4, Science 1-2 and Science 3-4. Please let me know if you can teach one of those classes.

    I don't know why, but it feels like our rooms are filling up quickly. I could be wrong on that, but that's the way it feels to me. So, if you are considering offering a class, I need to hear from you SOON!!

    I thank God for each of you who are planning on offering a class (or classes). I thank God for the gift of this Co-op. He is the one that has graciously poured His grace on this Co-op for years now. My kids have benefited tremendously - academically, socially, spiritually - and I have benefited in so many ways myself. I can't imagine home-schooling without this Co-op! God has sustained it and blessed so many through it, and I am very grateful.


  • Survival Skills Co-op Class Next Year - Looking for Input

    Marlene Mika would like to offer one or two survival skills classes next year in Co-op. She/we are looking for your thoughts and responses about:

    1. She would like a co-teacher with current or recent first aid certification/former nurse.

    2. She would like to get a general feel for who might be interested in a 1st-6th grade class (probably 1:00) and a 7-12th grade class (either 11:20 or possibly 2:00 - but uncertain of the late time).

    A quick overview of what will be covered is:

    1.Non-electronic world functionality
    a. Communication - Ham radio, Morse code, smoke signals, coding
    b. Natural element tools (dies, fabrics, effective “old world” tools)
    c. Basic skills – make: paper, soap, furnishings, agri-tools

    2. First Aide
    a. Basic first aide (triage, basic life saving – Breathing, Bleeding, Bones, Shock, treating common wounds, Heimlich, Heat/Cold Injuries)
    b. Certification for students aged 15 & up (potentially – extra time for this)
    c. Safety – General/strangers – physical safety

    3. Outdoor Survival
    a. Shelter –different materials/surroundings/plans & construction
    b. Personal protection – against persons, wildlife, environment
    c. Food – finding, identifying safe & nutritious, preparing
    d. Navigation – identify terrain, using a compass, determine distance

  • Things to consider for next year's Co-op

    Here are a couple of things to start thinking about for next year...

    1. I'm not sure I have a 1st/2nd grade art teacher. I'm looking into putting a different 1st/2nd grade class in that hour.

    2. If believe Mary will be doing French 1,  French 3 AND Introductory French. I think this means that there is a GOOD possibility that one of those classes will need to be at 9:00 on Thursdays. It may end up being the one with the fewest students? (but could be any of these - so just wanted to give you a heads up.) So, it would be a conflict with either elementary history or a pastor's class.

    3. While I expect/hope that we will have the pastors' classes, I will not know that for sure for a while, so we will have to go ahead and potentially schedule some things at the 9:00 hour.

    4. This is NOT definite, but it looks like Gary will probably NOT be back next year. Laura Briggs is considering offering one math class (one of the Algebras - I forget which one).

    5. I definitely need History 3/4 and Science 3/4 teachers. Also - be thinking about Biology and Physical Science in case Sharon does not teach. (And, I'm still looking for an Apologia Physical Science teacher - so let me know.)

    6. I would like to teach my Lit/Writing class again. Trying to decide whether to keep it 7th-9th or move it up to 8th-10th. Would love to know your thoughts. Also, I won't schedule this class at the same time as French 1, so I don't know what hour I will end up right now. If you have thoughts about this class re. schedule, grade level, and/or content (including book suggestions), I'd love to hear from you.

    7. The 9:00 History class that is normally just 5th-6th will include 7th graders next year.

  • Possible Computer Class

    Andrew Deck is willing to offer a computer class. He's thinking "Beginning Programming", but he's open to other things as well. He would need a morning slot. He's willing to consider a full year class or a one semester class. He would even consider doing something next semester if we could figure out a spot for him. If you have thougths on this, please bounce me back and let me know.


  • Co-op 2012-2013

    It's time to start talking about next year! (Actually a few of you have already talked to me!)

    So - if you are currently teaching - will you come back? Teach the same thing? Same level? Please let me know either way.

    If you are not currently teaching, but you are open to teaching or you have a specific class in mind, please let me know.

    I'd like us to have (at minimum):

    History 1-6 (Junior High history? High School history?) I think Jordan is doing his Con. Law. Economics? (Sara Jane - what are you going to teach?)

    Science 1-6 (Chemistry/Physics), Life Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics. (In addition to our two-day a week physical science, I'd love to see a one-day a week Apologia physical science. Anyone willing to lead that?)

    Art 1-6 (we might need a new teacher for 4-6. Anyone?) and Marcie - what are you offering next year? Photography - Alyssa?

    Languages. Mary? French 1 and Intro? Patricia? Pat - sign language? Wendy - Latin?

    Drama (Martha - yes?) Choir - Ryan? Hope? Kristen?

    Math - Gary? Laura? David?

    PE? (Val?) 

    Speech (Marilyn/Kathy?), Lit/Writing - me? Penny? (Creative writing hopefully coming from Molly Mullery!)

    Geography? Elisabeth? Sara? Penny?
