five15 BIG MEETING Recap

What a treat to have Bob and Devon Kauflin with us on Saturday night.  If you missed it, the audio is now available. 

Bob read a quote from Charles Bridges' book, The Christian Ministry, that many parents asked for.  Here it is:

"It is faith that enlivens our work with perpetual cheerfulness.  It commits every part of it to God, in the hope, that even mistakes shall be overruled for his glory; and thus relieves us from an oppressive anxiety, often attendant upon a deep sense of our responsibility.  The shortest way to peace will be found in casting ourselves upon God for daily pardon of deficiencies and supplies of grace, without looking too eagerly for present fruit."  (p. 178)

I just listened to, and recommend to you all, Bob Kauflin's sermon, which he preached the next morning at Covenant Life. (In resources on their site) Some folks thought he was going to stay the night in Fairfax and preach at Sovereign Grace, but yes, he did make that long drive back to Gaithersburg with his family, and preached a strong, powerful sermon.
