Pop quiz: what happened two months ago today?
Answer: the 2011 five15 Retreat came to a close and retreat-goers headed home to normal life.
Two months doesn't seem like all that long ago, but a lot can happen in that amount of time. So here are three follow-up questions for those who were able to go on the retreat:
- What did God do in you during the retreat?
- What has been the effect on you since then?
- What does it look to continue to live out what God did at the retreat?
Remember, God began a work in us and is still at work. Our pursuit of God and desire to be like Christ are responses to what He has already accomplished in Christ and they are powered by the truth that He is at work in us to make us more like Him.
Philippians 2:12-13:
work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
God calls to us to be holy (set apart) to Him. Those who have put faith in Jesus have already been set us apart by God and for God. Now, we are to continue to live out that change.
