For all of you who are attending the five15 Retreat, I hope you're as excited as I am that the retreat is only six days away! A week from today, we'll be enjoying preaching, worship, and fun and games together. Our theme this year is:
The Splendid Privilege of Knowing God Through Jesus Christ
By now you should have received some basic information in the mail from me. Here is the gist:
- Please pray! Pray that God will meet us by making His Word clear to us. Pray that He will grant conviction of sin. Pray that we’ll love the gospel more! Pray for the presence of the Holy Spirit. Pray for Joe Stigora, Seita Sakaguchi and I as we prepare to speak.
- Come ready to reach out. Remember the five15 Challenge! Think ahead about how you can serve, encourage, and include people from our youth ministry you may not know.
- Pack wisely. Please plan ahead to serve others with your clothes: plan on bringing clothes that are modest and don’t draw undue attention to yourself. Speaking of packing, here are some items you may want to remember to bring:
- Bible, journal, pen

Flip-flops for the shower

Sneakers for games

Bug repellent
-
Sheets, towels, a pillow and a blanket are provided, but you may want to bring your own

Toiletries
-
Sunglasses, sunscreen

Modest clothing
-
Grungy clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet

Flashlight (+ fresh batteries!)

Snacks, since we will not be providing a snack bar this year

Sweater/jacket (the meeting room can get chilly)

Soccer ball, frisbee, etc.
A couple other IMPORTANT DETAILS:
- Registration begins Wednesday, August 19 at 3:30pm (retreat schedule on reverse).
- Dinner on Wednesday starts at 6:00pm, first session at 7:30pm.

- Don't miss Kline's Dairy Bar! (Directions) NOTE: Flavor of the week on the way to the retreat: Peach! On the way home: Caramel and Pralines! Yum!
