One of the neatest things I saw last year was a bunch of five15ers counting a small army of children more significant than themselves and looking to their interests (Philippians 2:3-4) by serving in our church's Vacation Bible School (VBS). With this year's VBS a little over a month away, I hope many teens consider giving up their time to serve, love, and connect with the estimated 150 kids who will be at this year's VBS.
Here is some information about the upcoming VBS.
- VBS will be held on August 6-10 (Monday through Friday) from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
- Curriculum is: Amazing Wonders Aviation (http://www.lifeway.com/vbs2012/amazing-wonders/)
- Expecting about 150 kids
Your help is needed in the following areas (ages 13 and over):
- Age group leader - travels with the group, supervises the kids
- Age group helper - assists the age group leader
- Craft rotation helper - assists the craft rotation coordination
- Snacks helper - helps prepare snacks
- Games helper - helps the game coordinator prepare and run games
- Decoration team - help decorate different rotations and main auditorium
If you are interested in serving, you may sign up in the church lobby on Sundays, June 24-July 15.
If anyone would like to help design the VBS t-shirt, please contact John Suh at johnjsuh[at]yahoo.com.
