    The Northern Virginia Home School Symphonic Winds is a wind ensemble open to all musicians at or above an intermediate level in the D.C. metropolitan area who are home-schooled or who are simply in need of a worth-while concert band experience.     Trinity Christian School is pleased to be hosting the second annual Fairfax Christian College Fair on October 1, 2013 from 7-9 pm on our Braddock Road campus. Over 30 Christian colleges from around the country will send representatives to share information and answer questions for high school students who are considering their college options.

    Remember - Chick-fil-A is coming to Co-op tomorrow!! The cost is $3.50 (which includes tax.)   • Robotics Opportunity

    From Rob Peace: FIRST ROBOTICS (Fort Belvoir grades 8-12) – Open to the community (public, private, and homeschooled) – Team 1123 (AIM Robotics) is accepting new students and adult mentors for the Jan-Mar 2013 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). http://www.aim-robotics.org The team designs and builds a large robot to compete at the Washington DC Convention Center in March. Every year’s challenge is unique and will be announced January 5th.

    The Christmas season is quickly approaching us, which means it is time to begin Operation Christmas Child! We have so much to be grateful for, and my hope this Christmas season is that we can, once again, share some of our many blessings with those less fortunate than us by sending gift-filled shoeboxes to children around the world. Operation Christmas Child at Co-op will begin next Thursday (November 1st ).

  • Performance - Mulan Jr.

    From Susan Jorde Hello All, As you may know, we have 18 folks heading to the Dominican Republic this Friday and Saturday (3/30&31) to help with construction projects and Vacation Bible School at a church in Santiago. There are 11 people in the Friday group who are in need of help getting to the airport. We’re hoping to secure some vans and a few wide awake older teens/adults who are willing to drive them and their gear to BWI airport.

  • FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) at the DC Convention Center

  • Mexico Trip Fundraiser Lunch tickets on sale this week at Co-op.

    On Sunday, March 11 at 12:30 (right after church in the Basement Aud.) we will serve a Mexican-themed lunch to offset costs of the trip. Invite friends and neighbors to this event, and support the 40 teens and parents going to Rancho 3M orphanage to run a VBS program and help with some construction projects.     A member of our church, Pam Hanner, is a speech therapist for Fairfax County and has offered to give free speech evaluations to anyone who is interested in having their child evaluated. She is coming at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1 and will be there all morning.

  • Giving thanks for your generosity and participation!

    From Sarah Lannon: I am happy to announce that today I dropped off 38 stuffed shoeboxes to one of the OCC drop-off locations, where our shoeboxes were packed up and will be sent to Samaritan's Purse, and then sent out across the globe. Thank you so much for your generosity! The children who receive these shoeboxes are going to be so excited and thankful.

Barbara Lehto , an educational specialist who focuses on brain function instead of tutoring, will be sharing her "Whole Student Approach" .
